CalenSnap Privacy Policy

CalenSnap Privacy Policy (United States)

Effective Date: January 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Jumpova LLC (“Jumpova”, “CalenSnap”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the CalenSnap mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”) in the United States.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please see Section 13 (Contact Us) below.

We currently make our Service available only to individuals in the United States.

1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Your use of the CalenSnap mobile application; and

  • Our processing of personal information in connection with image-to-calendar conversion, AI-based text extraction, and integrations with third-party calendar providers such as Google Calendar and Apple Calendar.

It does not apply to:

  • Third-party services you connect to the Service (such as Google or Apple), which are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; or

  • Any websites, apps, or services that we do not control.

2. Information We Collect

Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular individual or household.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect:

The following table describes the categories of personal information we collect, the sources, our business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share each category. For information about how long we retain each category, see Section 8 (Data Retention).

* Identifiers (email, username, device ID, IP address): Collected from you and your device. Used to provide the Service, maintain accounts, and ensure security. Shared with service providers and calendar integration partners.

* Commercial information (event history, subscription data): Collected from you and your use of the Service. Used to provide features and maintain your account. Shared with service providers.

* Internet/network activity (usage data, log files): Collected automatically from your device. Used for Service operation, security, and improvement. Shared with service providers.

* Geolocation data (general location from IP; precise location from events you create): Collected from you and your device. Used to provide Service features and enhance security. Shared with service providers and calendar providers you authorize.

* Visual information (images you submit for processing): Collected from you. Used solely to extract event information via AI processing. See Sections 2.1 and 8 for details on transient processing and non-retention. Shared with service providers performing AI processing.

* Inferences (structured event data derived from images): Derived from information you provide. Used to create calendar events and maintain your event history. Shared with service providers and calendar providers you authorize.

* Sensitive personal information (calendar contents, precise geolocation, content of images): Collected as described in Section 2.3. Used only to provide core Service features. Shared only with service providers and authorized calendar providers.

2.1 Information You Provide

  1. Account and authentication information

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Email address and/or username.

  • Authentication tokens associated with accounts you use to sign in

  • Basic profile information from integrated services

  1. Images you select for processing

When you choose an image from your device’s gallery to create a calendar event:

  • The image is uploaded to our backend systems to allow our AI models to extract text and identify relevant event details (such as title, date, time, and location).

  • See the end of this section for details on how images are processed and our AI model training practices.

  1. Text and structured event data derived from images

From the images you select, our AI models generate structured data, such as:

  • Event title, description, date, time, and location;

  • Additional notes extracted from the image (for example, “Bring your own laptop”).

We may store this structured event data:

  • To display and manage your event history within the App;

  • To allow you to push the event to your connected calendars; and

  • To support debugging and quality improvements, in line with this Privacy Policy.

Image Processing and AI Model Training:

We do not use your images or the associated event contents to train generalized AI models that are available outside the CalenSnap Service. We also do not use your images or event data to train or improve our internal AI models. Our AI models use only the images you submit for the sole purpose of extracting text and event information for your immediate use, and this processing occurs in real-time without retention for training purposes.

Images you upload are processed transiently (typically seconds to minutes) and are not retained on our servers after processing is complete, except where a short, temporary cache is technically necessary (maximum 24 hours). We automatically strip metadata (including EXIF data such as geolocation, camera information, and timestamps) from images before processing, and this metadata is not stored or used for any purpose.

We practice data minimization by collecting only the personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide the Service features you request, and we do not collect personal information for purposes that are not disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

  1. Calendar data from third-party services

When you connect a calendar provider (for example, Google Calendar or Apple Calendar), and authorize the relevant permissions, we may access:

  • Lists of calendars in your account (for example, work calendar, personal calendar).

  • Event data necessary to create, read, update, or delete events on your behalf, including event title, description, attendees, date, time, reminders, and location.

We use this calendar data only:

  • To display available calendars and let you choose where to save an event; and

  • To create, update, or delete events as you request within the Service.

We may retain metadata or records of events that were created through the Service to support your in-app history, account management, and troubleshooting. If you delete an event from your connected calendar (such as Google Calendar or Apple Calendar), it will remain in your CalenSnap event history until you delete your CalenSnap account or contact us to request deletion of specific events as described in Section 9.

Event Metadata and Use of Google User Data

When you choose to create a calendar event using CalenSnap, we may retain limited metadata related to the event creation for the sole purpose of providing and maintaining the Service. This metadata may include non-content information such as confirmation that an event was created, timestamps, or internal identifiers necessary for functionality, troubleshooting, or user support.

We do not store or maintain a full copy of your Google Calendar events.

Importantly:

  • Metadata retained by CalenSnap is used only to operate, maintain, and improve the core functionality of the Service.

  • This metadata is not used for analytics unrelated to service functionality, advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

  • No Google User Data, including event metadata or calendar content obtained via Google APIs, is ever sent to, processed by, or shared with any AI services.

All AI processing within CalenSnap occurs exclusively on user-provided content (such as images uploaded by the user) before any interaction with Google APIs. Once a calendar event is created, all Google User Data remains within Google’s systems and is handled in accordance with Google’s privacy and security practices.

  1. Communications and support

When you contact us (for example, by email or through in-app support), we collect:

  • Your contact details; and

  • The content of your message and any attachments, so we can respond.

    2.3 Sensitive Personal Information

    Under certain state privacy laws, some categories of personal information are considered "sensitive." We want to be transparent about the types of sensitive personal information we may process:

    * Calendar contents and scheduling information: The events, appointments, and related details in your calendars may reveal information about your personal life, health appointments, religious practices, or other sensitive matters. We access this information only as needed to provide the calendar integration features you request.

    * Images you submit: Images you upload for event extraction may inadvertently contain sensitive information visible in the background or content of the image. As stated in Section 2.1, we process images transiently and do not retain them after processing.

    * Precise geolocation data: If an image you submit contains location metadata, or if events you create include specific location details, this may constitute precise geolocation information.

    * Biometric Information: We do not collect, extract, store, or use biometric identifiers or biometric information (such as faceprints, voiceprints, retina or iris scans, fingerprints, or other unique biological characteristics) from images you submit. Our AI processing is specifically designed and configured to extract only visible text and event-related information (such as dates, times, titles, and locations) from images, and does not perform facial recognition, facial analysis, facial geometry mapping, or any other form of biometric identification or analysis. We do not create, store, or transmit biometric templates, faceprints, or other biometric identifiers. Our AI service providers are contractually prohibited from extracting, retaining, or using any biometric information from the images we process. For state-specific biometric data disclosures (Illinois BIPA and Texas CUBI), see Section 2.4 below.

    We do not collect or infer sensitive information such as: Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account information, genetic data, biometric data for identification purposes, health diagnosis or treatment information (except as may be incidentally included in calendar events you create), information about your sex life or sexual orientation, or citizenship or immigration status.

    We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted under CPRA 1798.121 and other applicable laws, which include providing the Service you request, preventing security incidents, and short-term transient use.

    In states that provide a right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, you may exercise this right by contacting us as described in Section 13, though we note that limiting our use of sensitive personal information may prevent us from providing core features of the Service.

    2.4 State-Specific Biometric Data Disclosures

    Biometric Data - Illinois Residents: If you are a resident of Illinois, we provide the following additional disclosures required under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA): (1) we do not collect, capture, purchase, receive through trade, or otherwise obtain biometric identifiers or biometric information; (2) our image processing extracts only text visible in images and does not scan, analyze, or capture facial geometry, faceprints, or other biometric data; (3) any images you submit are permanently deleted immediately after text extraction is complete (within seconds to minutes) and are not retained for any purpose including creation of biometric identifiers; (4) we do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric identifiers or biometric information; and (5) our AI service providers are contractually required to comply with these same restrictions. If our practices change such that we would collect biometric identifiers or biometric information from Illinois residents, we will first: (a) publish a publicly available written policy establishing our retention schedule and guidelines for permanently destroying such data within 3 years of your last interaction with us or within 1 year of satisfaction of the purpose for which it was collected, whichever occurs first; (b) obtain your informed written consent; and (c) comply with all other BIPA requirements.

    Biometric Data - Texas Residents: If you are a resident of Texas, we confirm that we do not capture, store, or use biometric identifiers (such as a retina or iris scan, fingerprint, voiceprint, or record of hand or face geometry) for commercial purposes. Our AI processing does not analyze or capture biometric identifiers.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Frequency and type of features used (for example, how many events are created through image capture).

  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics.

We do not use analytics or usage data to target you with third-party advertising, and we do not sell this data.

2.2.1 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to support the functionality and performance of the Service. These technologies help us:

* Maintain your session and keep you logged in;
* Remember your preferences and settings;
* Collect analytics data as described above; and
* Monitor and improve Service performance.

We do not use cookies or similar technologies for cross-site tracking or targeted advertising. You can control cookies through your device or browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may limit some Service functionality. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because we do not track users across third-party websites.

Apple App Tracking Transparency: We do not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites for advertising or data broker purposes. We do not access or use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) or any other identifiers for cross-app tracking. Therefore, we do not trigger Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent requirement under iOS 14.5 and later.

  1. Log files and security monitoring

Our servers automatically record certain information, including:

  • IP address, device identifiers, and approximate location;

  • Date and time of requests;

  • Responding to lawful requests from law enforcement or regulators, when required.

  • Protecting our rights, property, and safety, and those of our users and the public.

Use of De-identified and Aggregated Data

We may create de-identified or aggregated data from personal information by removing or altering information so that it can no longer reasonably identify you. We may use such de-identified or aggregated data for any lawful business purpose, including:

* Analyzing usage patterns and trends;
* Improving our AI models and Service features;
* Benchmarking and research; and
* Creating and publishing statistical reports.

We commit to maintaining and using de-identified data in accordance with applicable legal standards and will not attempt to re-identify such data.

We regularly review our service providers to ensure continued compliance with these standards.

For security reasons, we do not publicly disclose the specific names of our service providers, but this information may be provided in response to verified privacy rights requests as described in Section 9.

  1. Calendar providers and integration partners

When you authorize CalenSnap to access a third-party calendar, we share necessary data with that provider to perform the actions you request (for example, creating events). Once event data is created in your connected third-party calendar, that data is subject to the third party's own security practices, retention policies, and privacy policy. We are not responsible for how third-party calendar providers handle, store, or protect your data after it is created in their systems.

  1. Business transfers

If Jumpova is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of some or all of its assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy providing substantially similar protections.

  1. Legal and safety

We may disclose personal information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation, law, regulation, legal process, or government request;

  • Enforce our terms and policies;

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Jumpova, our users, or the public.

9. Your Privacy Rights (U.S. State Laws)

Certain U.S. states, including California, Virginia, Colorado, and others, give residents specific rights regarding their personal information. If you are a resident of a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law and we are subject to that law, you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to certain exceptions and as further described below:

  • Right to know / access: To request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

  • Right to deletion: To request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. See Section 8 for details on our deletion process and timelines.

  • Right to correction: To request that we correct inaccurate personal information about you.

  • Right to data portability: To request a copy of certain personal information in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format. We will provide portable data in JSON or CSV format (your choice), which can be easily imported into other applications. Portable data may include: your account information, event data you created through the Service, and other personal information we maintain about you, excluding information that would compromise our security, proprietary information, or others' privacy.

  • Right to opt out of certain processing: In some states, to opt out of the sale of your personal information, the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, certain profiling or targeted advertising activities, or (under California law) the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those necessary to provide the Service.

As of the Effective Date of this Policy, Jumpova does not sell personal information, and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices and opt-out mechanisms.

How to exercise your rights

You may submit a request by contacting us at:

  • You may submit a request using the contact information provided in Section 13 below, or through any in-app rights request mechanism we may provide.

We will verify your identity before responding to your request, which may involve asking you to confirm information associated with your account or provide additional identifying information.

For requests to know or access personal information: Under California law and other applicable state privacy laws, you may request information about our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information over the 12 months preceding your request. We will provide the required information for this look-back period in our response.

Authorized agents: Where allowed by law, you may designate an authorized agent to make certain requests on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent, we require:

    * Written authorization signed by you giving the agent permission to submit the request on your behalf; or
    * A valid power of attorney granted to the agent under applicable state law.

We will also require you to verify your own identity directly with us (unless you have provided the agent with power of attorney under applicable probate code). We may deny requests from agents who do not submit proof of authorization. To submit a request through an authorized agent, please have your agent contact us at contact@calensnap.com with the subject line "Authorized Agent Request" and include the required authorization documents.

We will respond to verified requests within 45 days of receipt, or notify you if we require an extension of up to an additional 45 days.

If we decline your request, we will tell you the reasons, and in states that provide such rights, you may have the ability to appeal our decision by following the instructions we provide in our response.

9.1 Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights under applicable law. Specifically, we will not:

* Deny you goods or services;
* Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits or by imposing penalties;
* Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services; or
* Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

However, we may offer financial incentives or price or service differences if they are reasonably related to the value provided by your personal information and permitted by applicable law. We will notify you of any such financial incentives and obtain your prior opt-in consent as required.

9.2 Financial Incentives

We do not currently offer any financial incentives, rewards programs, or price or service differences in exchange for the collection, retention, or sale of your personal information. If we introduce such programs in the future, we will provide separate notice describing the material terms of the program and obtain your opt-in consent as required by law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@calensnap.com.

We may also set a higher minimum age for certain states or under specific laws, and we may implement age-related controls in the Service consistent with applicable requirements.

Teens Ages 13-17: While we permit use of the Service by individuals aged 13 and older with parental consent where required, we do not knowingly sell (as defined by applicable privacy laws including CCPA) personal information of minors under 16 without affirmative authorization. Under California law, if you are between 13 and 15 years old, you or your parent/guardian must affirmatively authorize (opt in to) any sale of your personal information before we would engage in such sale. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. As stated throughout this Privacy Policy, we do not currently sell personal information of any users, regardless of age.

11. Security

We use reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher;

  • Access controls and authentication for systems storing personal information;

  • Logging and monitoring of access to production systems; and

  • Regular review of our internal practices and service providers; and
        *  Implementation of security controls consistent with industry-standard frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and OWASP guidelines.

No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials associated with your account.

11.1 Data Breach Notification

In the event of a security breach that compromises your personal information, we will:

* Notify affected users without unreasonable delay and within the timeframes required by applicable state laws (typically within 30-60 days of discovery);

* Notify you via email at the address associated with your account, and may also provide notice through the Service or other appropriate means;

* Provide information about the nature of the breach, the types of information involved, steps we are taking to address the breach, and recommendations for steps you can take to protect yourself;

* Notify applicable state attorneys general, regulators, and consumer reporting agencies as required by law; and

* Cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory investigations.

You can help protect your account by using strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication where available, and promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by:

  • Updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this Policy; and

  • Providing additional notice within the Service (for example, a prominent in-app notice) where required by law.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
